Kara-age Fried Chicken with Taco Rice
Transform store-bought kara-age into a gourmet dinner by adding your favorite toppings!

Ingredients (Serves 2)
- 8 pieces kara-age chicken (store-bought) (approx. 200 g)
- 2 leaves lettuce (100 g)
- 1 tomato (small) (120 g)
- 20 g cheese for pizza
- 300 g cooked rice (hot)
Tear the lettuce into easy-to-eat pieces and lay out on a dish. Cut the tomato lengthwise in half. Remove the stem and cut into 1 cm cubes.
Place the kara-age on a heat-resistant plate. Microwave (600W) uncovered for two minutes. Pat with a paper towel to remove the excess oil. Cut the pieces in half.
Space the kara-age out evenly on the plate to microwave. Pat with a paper towel while hot to remove the excess oil.
Place the pieces on the lettuce. Top with tomatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Serve rice on the side.
