Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 steaks swordfish
  • 1 tomato (large) (200 g)
  • 2 hoso-negi green onion
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • Vegetable oil, as needed

Directions

Cut the swordfish steaks in half and season heavily with salt. Mix the flour and curry powder in a tray and dredge the fish evenly.

Remove the stem from the tomato and cut into 7-8 mm dices. Chop up the hoso-negi and put in a bowl together with the tomatoes. Stir in 2 teaspoons of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon each of rice vinegar and vegetable oil.

Warm the vegetable oil in a frying pan placed over medium heat. Lay the coated fish in the pan and fry both sides, making sure not to overcook the fish. Plate up and liberally cover with the sauce.
