Ingredients

  • 500 g oysters
  • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (core removed and thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 bay leaf (large)
  • 2 dried red chili
  • 200 ml olive oil
  • Salt

Directions

Rinse the oysters in salt water. Lay in a heated frying pan and sear over high heat. Turn over and sear until no more juices seep out. Add the oyster sauce and simmer briefly.

Place the oysters in a sterilized food storage jar. Add the remaining ingredients and marinate.

Tips

Sterilize the jar either by boiling it or by placing it in warm water (approx. 40 degrees Celsius) and then pouring boiling water over it in a circular motion.
