Salad with Natto Dressing (Nattou doresshingu no sarada)
The unique, addictive aroma of natto over salad?! Adding soy sauce and sesame oil to natto makes a thick, savory dressing.

Does not include time needed to soak the lettuce in ice-cold water.
- 50 g red-tip lettuce
- 1 pack chopped natto (large-bean type) (50 g)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vinegar
Cut the red-tip lettuce lengthwise in half and then into 5 mm strips. Soak the lettuce in a bowl of ice-cold water for about 20 minutes to crisp it.
Empty the natto into a bowl and add the remaining ingredients in the order in which they're listed, mixing thoroughly before adding the next.
Drain the lettuce and pat dry with a paper towel. Arrange in a dish and pour the natto dressing over it.
