Pan-fried Marinated Beef

Marinate the beef well with garlic, sesame seeds and sesame oil. Wrap the beef in red-tip lettuce and enjoy!

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 200 g beef ribs (for barbecue)
  • 5-6 leaves red-tip lettuce (120 g)
  • [Marinade]

    • 1/2 tsp garlic (grated)
    • 1 tbsp white sesame seed
    • 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tsp sugar
    • A pinch of pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp vegetable oil

Preparation

Thoroughly mix the [marinade] ingredients in a bowl. Add the beef and rub the marinade into the beef and marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.

Advice

Lightly rub the beef together to allow the marinade to seep in.

Directions

Wash the lettuce and pat dry with a cheesecloth or paper towel. Tear into fairly large bite size pieces.

Warm the vegetable oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add the beef so that the slices don't overlap and cook for 30 seconds. Turn over and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for another minute. When the color changes, plate the beef and garnish with the lettuce.
