Shoga-yaki is a dish made with stir-fried vegetables, fish, or meat, plenty of grated or minced ginger, and sweet soy sauce. Shoga means ginger, yaki means to pan-fry.
In Japan, it is usually made with pork. Pork and ginger are both believed to have stamina-enhancing properties. Eating shoga-yaki will help you beat fatigue on hot summer days.
