EventJapan Tag in Dusseldorf
May 20, 2017
What a great day! Take a look at our report and keep up with Domo!
Japan-Tag is Germany’s biggest celebration of Japanese culture. Some 650,000 people came to Dusseldorf’s Rhine embankment promenade for the 1-day event.
Look at those crowds! It was tough to move around.
The event highlighted many aspects of Japanese culture, including food and a taiko drum performance. Visitors had the opportunity to get their pictures taken dressed up in real kimono .
And, of course, Domo was one of the star attractions.
But a kiss from a fan still made him blush!
People of all ages came to say hello.
There was a boost in likes and followers on NHK World Facebook page after this event! Like and follow our page for more details on events. (Check out all the action on our Facebook page.)
And the grand finale: beautiful Japanese fireworks.
Thank so much to everyone who came to the NHK World booth. We hope to see you soon!
