A week's worth of terrestrial TV recordings! The Spider Pro video server from a venture company called PTP can record the lot for a whole week, including the commercials, and store it all with metadata for the search function. Topics, company or individual names, products and so on can be searched by keyword to browse the relevant video images. More than 100 companies in fields ranging from finance to manufacturing and advertising have introduced the system. The inclusion of such a data base search function could only have come from a true venture business like RTP. We find out how it arose and report on where the business is going.
