- Program's Mascot

April 2012, imagine-nation developed its program mascot celebrating its
fifth anniversary and asked the global audience to give him a name.
Thank you very much for sending us so many creative ideas. We have decided
the name of our mascot and it's a suggestion from Costa Rica by Ms.
Gaburiela.
His name is ... "Mallow-kun."
(>'o')>(>'o')> *clapclapclapclapclapclapclapclap* <('o'<)<('o'<)
Thank you Gaburiela! Thank you everyone for supporting imagine-nation!

"Yorokobi"Jun. 01, 2012 05:43(JST)
Cranky Bird
[Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A.]Your show is all about manga, anime and games.
In manga, anime and games, the names of characters, often describe the characters actions or qualities, for example "Speed Racer". So I thought that your mascot's name should convey the essence of your show. Yorokobi means congratulations, delight, felicitations, gratification, joy, pleasure, rapture and rejoicing. All of these words describe the feelings that I have as I watch your show AND are suitable for your fifth anniversary.
Anot her reason to choose Yorokobi for your mascot's name, is the fun of cos-play. Yorokobi is a gender neutral name. This would let both boys and girls cos-play as your mascot. How cool is that?, Very! -

"Gazo-san"Apr. 25, 2012 13:23(JST)

[Mesa Arizona, U.S.A.]Took the word ''Image'' and added ''-san'' and then took the name 'Image-san' to the Google translation online and had it translated to Japanese and came up with Gazo-san. Most 'cute' words for anime are of Japanese origin and decided to make this a priority as well. Given the smile of the character I see the character's name as being a ''His'' name. Image is the singular part of imagination and this seemed very good for the character.

"Kabusuki"Apr. 25, 2012 13:20(JST)

[U.S.A.]The mascot looks like a male. He looks like a steam train "caboose" conductor. Also, the name is similar to "Kabuki", so his character could dream of being a Kabuki actor, or sing Kabuki songs, or dress in Kabuki costumes for taking part in various matsuri. Thanks, I hope you like my ideas :) !!

[Los Angeles, CA, U.S.A.]Dude looks like a cup! It holds all that's otaku-lisciously Japanese! Replacing a 'K' for the 'C' sound also raises it's kooky-factor.
