Tuner Setting
Please set the frequency, symbol rate, FEC value and others on your digital satellite tuner to receive our transmission. Please find the setting details in your region shown below:

To complement our present NHK WORLD TV HD service, the broadcasting format on IS-10 changed from the current 1080/60i to 1080/50i, effective from March 22, 2010.
The new system is shown below. The satellite downlink parameters are not changed.

To receive our High Definition transmission, the digital tuner for High Definition (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compatible) will be required.
After setting the downlink parameters on your digital tuner for the High Definition system, please choose channel/language on either [1080/60 i English],[1080/60 i Japanese]or [1080/50 i English],[1080/50 i Japanese], to receive our transmission.
*For all viewers via NTSC TV set;
1. Please prepare a PAL-NTSC converter and set your tuner to receive PAL signal (choose channel/language on either [625 English] or [625 Japanese]). Convert to NTSC signal with the converter.
2. Please prepare a High Definition digital tuner (MPEG-4 AVC/H.264) with function to convert High Definition signal to NTSC signal.
