A Vegetable Utopia in Kiso
This time our Kitchen on wheels heads to the base of Mt. Ontake to the tiny hamlet of Kiso. There the unforgiving environment has helped to bring forth delicious vegetables, and a unique food culture. Our traveling chef is Aya Kakisawa, who is famous for her sweets made with vegetables. Using buckwheat, mushrooms, hakusai cabbage and local foods, Aya prepares a colorful feast!
