A Malaysian passenger plane has reportedly crashed in eastern Ukraine near the border with Russia.
Russia's Interfax news agency reported on Thursday that the Malaysia Airlines jet was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
The plane had 295 passengers and crewmembers on board. Ukraine's Interior Ministry adviser has said the plane was shot down.
Russia's state-run Itar-Tass news agency says the Boeing 777 jet crashed in eastern Ukraine, about 60 kilometers from the Russian border.
