Hundreds of fuel tanker trucks in Afghanistan have been set ablaze on the outskirts of the capital city Kabul. Taliban fighters have claimed responsibility.
Video footage shows a series of explosions and many trucks in a parking lot engulfed in flames.
The fires kept on burning from Friday night through Saturday. Local police said that about 400 trucks were burned.
The Taliban said in a statement that it targeted the fuel tankers because they belong to NATO forces.
The militants have intensified their attacks against international troops that are due to leave Afghanistan by the end of this year.
A Taliban attack roughly a week ago claimed the lives of more than 80 fighters and civilians.
