NHK World TV is seeking program monitors!
NHK WORLD TV is looking for viewers willing to work as NHK WORLD TV program monitors. (At this time we are not looking for NHK WORLD PREMIUM monitors.)
If you are interested, please read the following details and then send us your application form.
<Monitoring Period>
April 1–September 30, 2009 (6 months)
<Duties>
Monitors will be asked to select one or two programs each week from those listed on the web page below, describe their thoughts and opinions on them in a report 300-400 words long, and then send that report to us by e-mail. ( 4times a month )
<Monitors must be…>
*Viewers of NHK WORLD TV living outside Japan
*Able to send and receive e-mails
*Able to write monitor reports in either English or Japanese
(In principle, Japanese nationals are expected to write in Japanese.)

Remuneration will be made by NHK World’ regulation after a term.
<Application Period>
January 6–February 13, 2009 (Applications sent by mail must arrive by February 13th)
<How to Apply>
Print out the application form on the PDF file, fill in all the items on both pages, and then send the form to the following address by Air Mail or fax. It is also acceptable to copy all the contents from the application form on to any paper you have available.
Only applications by Air mail or fax can be accepted; to protect personal information, e-mail applications will not be accepted. Please note that the cost of mailing or faxing the application form is at the applicant’s own expense.

Applications by Air mail or fax must arrive by February 13th, 2009.
We cannot accept inquiries by telephone.
<Monitor Selection>
To select monitors, we will carefully consider the content of all applicants’ application forms and their comments. We will inform all applicants of the result by e-mail in late February.
<Privacy>
Personal information received during the application process will be handled with due care and attention and only used for monitor-related work. It will not be disclosed to any third party. For details of NHK’s privacy policy, please refer to:

<General Notes>
*We cannot accept applications from those who have previously been monitors for NHK WORLD and monitors on duty.
*Please note that we are looking for monitors for NHK World TV, not for NHK World Premium.
