I want to know how to receive NHK WORLD TV and NHK WORLD PREMIUM

  • NHK WORLD TV is available 24 hours a day in approximately 120 countries and regions through local broadcast satellite services and cable service providers (as of March 2011.) We are in the process of expanding the number of countries and regions and the service area will gradually expand. One way of viewing NHK WORLD TV is to enter a contract with a local broadcast satellite service or a cable service provider. The fee will vary depending on your contract.

  • Most NHK WORLD TV programs can be viewed on the Internet at the same time as they are being broadcast.
  • A service available on some smart phones was started in February 2010.
  • To receive NHK WORLD TV directly, you need a satellite dish with diameter of between 2.5 and 6 meters and a special digital tuner. The image signals will not be scrambled and they can be received free of charge.
