Half of Thai's automakers to resume operation

Four of the 8 Japanese automakers in Thailand will resume operations within the next 2 weeks.

Since October 20th all Japanese automakers in the country have halted production due to a supply disruption of assembly parts caused by the flooding.

Mitsubishi Motors has decided to restart factories next Monday as it can now get parts that had been running out.

Nissan and Mazda have already decided to begin making certain models next Monday. Toyota said it will resume operations on November 21st.

Despite the resumption, Japanese carmakers in Thailand still face the challenge of restoring a reliable supply of parts.
