Medvedev to hold talks with Noda in November

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev says he is looking forward to holding talks with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda in November.

Medvedev made the comment to Japanese ambassador Chikahito Harada on Saturday in Krasnodar City. They were attending a ceremony at a thermal power plant where Japanese companies had supplied gas turbines.

Harada told Medvedev that Noda would like to hold a bilateral summit next month and discuss ways to deepen ties in different areas. The Russian President responded positively, saying he was eager to meet Noda and discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations.

In November world leaders are scheduled to gather at meetings for the G20, APEC and the East Asia Summit.

Japan and Russia will try to arrange a bilateral summit during one of these meetings.
